Silent Auction Item Submission

The Gaming Hoopla will, for the first time, feature a silent auction at the 2010 Fall Gaming Hoopla.

To participate as a seller, please read all instructions carefully, fill in the form below, and click submit.  You must submit a form for each game/lot that you want to sell. The deadline for auction submissions is August 29th, 2010 at 11:59 pm central time.  No submissions will be taken after this date.

These are the guidelines for the silent auction:

1.  25% of the final sale price of each item or group of items (known as a “lot”) will be donated to the American Cancer Society (through the Hoopla,) by the seller.  We will have receipts available so that sellers may use this as a tax deduction.

2.  Definition of a “lot” – a single item or group of items submitted.  For example, Johnny Hoopla wants to sell his copy of Agricola, his copy of Kingsburg, his copy of Kingsburg: To Forge A Realm, and a box of 237 assorted Dungeons & Dragons miniatures.  Johnny decides to sell the Kingsburg base game and expansion together, and all of the miniatures together.  He would submit this as 3 lots – Agricola, Kingsburg + Expansion, and 237 assorted D&D miniatures.

3.  Sellers are allowed to submit a maximum of 20 individual “lots.”

4.  By submitting a lot, sellers are verifying that they have inventoried the lot (if it is not in shrink wrap,) and that the description that they provide is accurate.  In the example above, Johnny might say that the Agricola lot and Kingsburg lot are “in used but good condition, with normal shelf wear, with no parts missing.”  He might describe the miniatures as “assorted miniatures in used but good condition, including 26 rares, 58 uncommons, and 153 commons.”

5.  Sellers are required to submit a minimum bid for each lot – this is the minimum price that you will accept for the lot.

6.  Sellers may, if they choose, submit a “Buy it Now” price.  This is a price at which the lot will sell to the first person that bids that amount.

7.  To be officially submitted, all information on the form must be filled out, unless a seller is not listing a Buy It Now price, in which case that field may be left blank.

8.  Please submit ONLY gaming related items (games, miniatures, RPG’s and accessories, etc.)

9.  Bidder numbers are free – sellers and other attendees pay nothing to receive a bidder number.
