Tournaments

Hoopla in the City - A slew of city building and urban-themed events will get you points throughout the weekend. Prizes will be awarded for those placing at the top of the scoreboard.

Crokinole - The quintessential flicking game has seen two appearances at past Hoopla's. This year we are adding a Doubles Tournament to the mix. 

Illinois State Championships - Gaming Hoopla is the home to a number of game state championships. Participation is completely free and winning the championship gets you a free badge to Geekway to the West where the regional tournaments will be held.

Jigsaw Corner - Have a few minutes to spare and looking for something soothing? Try our brand-new jigsaw corner, which will be stocked with puzzles for the entire weekend. Stay for a minute or stay for an hour - it's up to you!

Games Library

The Gaming Hoopla's Game Library continues to grow as we try to bring you the best games there are in the board game industry. This well-curated library will be run by Hoopla staff and volunteers who will assist attendees with game choices and teaching games. Library games are free for all attendees!

Silent Auction
Our Silent Auction gives attendees a chance to sell and buy game lots, all while donating at least 25% of sales to the Aurora Cancer Care.

Hoopla Math Trade
This no-ship math trade allows you to submit games you want to 'sell' and list games you want, and uses an algorithm to trade games among a large group of people to make everyone happy!
